Julia Rayfield

My artistic journey began as soon as I could hold a pencil. All the way from elementary school art lessons to college studio courses, art has always—and will always—be an integral part of my life and who I am.

I have always drawn inspiration from the colors, textures, and spaces around me in nature. I love integrating myself into a blank canvas through paint in order to reflect my interpretation of the world as it appears through my eyes. Capturing the unique disposition of a pet, the nuanced personality of a person, or the distinctive warmth of a landscape has always fascinated me.

I am from Columbia, South Carolina and currently attend school at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. I am studying Math, Economics, and Environmental Science, spending every moment in between pursuing my passion in the arts.
